A Floridian Running For Florida
I'm Faith Antonio, a progressive running for governor in a state that's been sliding toward authoritarianism. Florida deserves a government that serves families, not corporate interests. I'm not a career politician. I'm a mom, a multiracial Floridian with New York roots, someone who has worked hard, raised kids, paid Florida prices, and watched my neighbors struggle with housing, insurance, and a justice system that too often protects insiders.
I know what it feels like to be unheard and to see the system work for those at the top while families are left to fend for themselves. That experience is why I'm running: to make sure what happened to me never happens to anyone else. My campaign is about people, accountability, and transparency. It is about restoring fairness so every Floridian can trust that their government is working for them.
I grew up on the eastern end of Long Island. My father was a contractor who built homes by hand and later started several family-owned businesses. I spent my school years behind the counter, learning what it takes to keep customers happy, manage people, and handle long days when you are responsible for everything. That experience taught me how small businesses keep communities alive and how much fairness and opportunity matter when you're building something from nothing.
My parents taught me that faith isn't something you only find in a church. It is how you live, how you treat people, and how you keep building even when the odds are against you. I carried those lessons with me to Florida, where I have worked, raised three kids, and seen firsthand how the promise of this state depends on whether regular people can stay afloat. This campaign is not about one person or one party. It is about proving that government can once again serve the people who make this state work every day.
